If you truly want to accomplish your goals, you have to start by getting motivated. Without motivation, you simply will not muster the drive to follow through with your plans, complete your objectives, and eventually reach your goal.
The good news is that motivation does not have to be something that is hard to come by. It is almost entirely driven by internal moods and decisions. That means you have a great deal of control over it. You can change it whenever you choose, and you can use that change to get better results. It is a matter of making the decision and then following through.
Putting the 77 Tips to Work
Throughout this motivation series, I have shared 77 practical tips for getting and staying motivated. Not every tip will resonate with every person. That is expected and perfectly fine. The point is to build your own personal toolkit of motivational strategies that work for you.
Some of you will find that exercise is the unlock. Others will respond better to public accountability, visualization, or building a morning routine. The important thing is to experiment, find what works, and then deploy those tools consistently when motivation starts to fade.
Motivation Is a Skill, Not a Trait
One thing I have learned over more than 15 years of building businesses while holding a full-time job is that motivation is not something you either have or you do not. It is a skill you develop. The most successful entrepreneurs I know are not naturally more motivated than anyone else. They have simply built better systems for sustaining their motivation over time.
No matter where you find yourself today, there are ways to get motivated, turn things around, and accomplish your goals. You do not need to overhaul your entire life overnight. Start with one or two tips from this series that resonate with you. Put them into practice this week. Build from there.
The fact that you have read through these tips tells me something important about you: you care enough about your goals to invest time in learning how to achieve them. That alone puts you ahead of most people.
Now go put that motivation to work.
